I’ve had a constant hot flush today. It was like the room was 100 degrees but nobody else had the “glowing” look going on. I still can’t believe I’m quitting my job, actually now I already have. Today was my last day at Philips after 12 years working there. I started as a financial controller and left as a Global transport manager….with a lot of challenges along the way. I have learnt A LOT and developed as a person over those 12 years. Not to mention all the amazing places I have been able to visit all over the world. And then today it was my last day and that’s it…quitting my job and running away to New Zealand. So today I’ve been pretty much in a daze so it was just as well there was not much left to do 🙂
I came home to an empty house and felt completely lost, what am I going to do now? Actually there is quite a lot to be done (see aformentioned to do list) but I ended up sitting on the sofa, still in a daze…..I don’t think it has sunk in yet. I don’t think it will until we are stitting on that plane!
The kids arrived home with the usual “hi Mum” and I said “guess what, no more work for Mummy for a year, woo hoo!!” (I also did a little dance, finger pointing and jiggling a bit) to which the response was an unenthusiastic “yeahhhhh……can we watch telly?”. So actually not much changed at all….
