The 3 musketeers

I could talk for ages about the fab week at Horse of the Year show but here are a few highlights (in no particular order 😜):

• We discovered there was no need to invite Nicky and Hamish to the bar at the end of the day, they were already there all afternoon 🤣.  What a great night, great company including collaring Tim and Jonelle Price (NZ Eventing King and Queen) for some selfies. 👍🏻

• I spent most of the week shadowing Sue around the show ground getting introduced to all the top riders/owners/breeders.  I got to walk courses and hang out with the riders👍🏻

• The 3 musketeers (Sue, Eeva and me) got to help out some talented riders in the show jumping and eventing warm up/pep talk before going in the ring.  Ribbons were won and progress was made throughout the week 💪🏻👍🏻

• Got to see some great classes in the show jumping, showing, 4*eventing, dressage and mounted games arenas.  We did, however, have to make a quick exit from the show ring area after Thijs decided he needed a wee right in front of the “show mums” 🙈😫

• We discovered it is possible to train 4 race horses in the morning and still get to the show ground in time to watch the first class.  Super speedy teamwork from the 3 musketeers!

I’m sure there is more but it’s safe to say it was a great week.  The kids loved their week off school (half term holiday) and eating plenty of chips and ice cream!
