The Big Friendly Giant

As my mum reminded me of my prizewinning story at primary school and being pushed by my demanding wifey and another few persons it might be about my time to write a little something.

It won’t be as long as Kelly’s blogs as a man usually needs some less words than a woman🤣 (I do love reading Kelly’s blogs though).

Although I do miss Fryslân, I feel right at home here in New Zealand. We love the landscape and the people. As we are here for a year we don’t have to rush our travelling and gives us the opportunity to get to know people better. We even get to the point that the kiwis don’t see us as tourists anymore but as some sort of the community.

As what I said to Kelly, for me it feels like being on Terschelling for me. It’s an island, half of the cars is either a ute or a 4wd, everyone lives close to a beach and loves driving on it, either you hunt or don’t mind it and do like to eat game or venison.  Pretty much all the horses are well behaved and you wear the clothes you feel comfortable in. Only differences, it’s bigger and instead of clogs they wear gum boots 🙈👍

Righteo, that was a fair bit of writing for this house, garden and kitchen farrier.
