The caravan is history. Sold at a massive loss and we are moving on. It lasted us 4 months and together we had some amazing adventures and saw some beautiful places, but it was just not meant to be. So it’s gone. Full stop, new chapter.
We are currently homeless but luckily still using the apartment at Airhill farm where I am riding the racehorses. We’ve been here 3 weeks and are staying for one more week. It is a great experience training the race horses, something I had never imagined doing before we came to New Zealand! I’m loving it 😊. Next week we will be heading back to Mick and Sue’s for a while before continuing our way South. TJ is going on a road trip tomorrow to look at 2 camper trailers back up North and he’s going to drop in on his friend Brogan for some much needed man time while he is in the area. As you can imagine all these house-husband duties while I have been working is taking its toll and he just needs some man company to drink beer and talk about man stuff 😆.
I have to say the next adventure is giving us a much needed lift, after the disappointment of the caravan. We are looking forward to moving on now and getting our new home cozy in time for autumn/winter 😬. I think there will be some house sitting stints lined up to give us a bit of a break.
In other news, the kids are doing great, enjoying the farm life! Thijs likes to pretend he is in a Minecraft game around the apartment, in a fantasyland where he is a Minecraft character slaying the monsters with his cricket bat 👍🏻💪🏻. Meanwhile Rose has discovered her creative side and is spending hours per day sewing and creating tiny outfits for her dolls and all sorts of other stuff 🙅🏼♀️. We feed the horses together at the end of the day, all crammed in the farm 4×4 together with Rascal the dog.
Will update again when TJ is back hopefully with our new camper trailer! 😊
